Bookings for the Intercity Motorhomes open on August 4 and can be made directly through the Uber app under a dedicated icon. The service will run between August 7 and September 6 and is aimed at weekend travelers, event-goers, and anyone looking for a premium road experience without the hassle of coordinating rentals, stops, and logistics.

According to Uber India and South Asia’s Head of Rider Verticals, Shweta Mantri, the decision to introduce motorhomes comes from the growing popularity of Intercity rides. Travelers today want more than point A to point B. They want a journey that’s easy, comfortable, and maybe even a little fun. That is exactly what these mobile lounges on wheels aim to offer.

Uber’s data supports this shift. The most traveled Intercity routes in the last year include Delhi to Agra, Mumbai to Pune, Bengaluru to Mysuru, and Lucknow to Kanpur. Peak demand shows up around long weekends, festivals like Diwali and Eid, and of course, the ever-busy wedding season. Fridays remain the most popular day to get on the road, with travelers typically starting their rides early morning or just after lunch.

What sets this campaign apart is the blend of convenience and experience. Riders can use Uber Reserve to book their trip in advance, add multiple stops along the way, and track the ride in real-time. The addition of 24x7 customer support adds to the peace of mind.
